	Obtaining a commercial pilot certificate is the first step toward a professional pilot career. A commercial pilot certificate offers the privilege to act as a pilot in command of an aircraft carrying persons or property for hire. At Amity Flight School we have many qualified instructors waiting to give you the training you will need to obtain your commercial certificate.


	We use a Piper Arrow PA 28R-180 for all commercial single engine training.


	Requirements for a Commercial Pilot Certificate At least 18 years of age. Ability to read, speak and understand English. Have a sign off from an authorized instructor for the required ground training listed in FAR 61.125. Pass the required knowledge test on aeronautical knowledge areas listed in FAR 61.125. Pass the required practical test on areas of operation listed in FAR 61.127. Hold at least a private pilot certificate Meet all aeronautical experience required in FAR 61.129
